“Stepping inside feels like entering a different era; the historic architecture and décor create an immersive experience, heightened by thoughtful touches like complimentary wine and the peaceful garden. The owner's storytelling approach to breakfast adds to the feeling of a private house party, a unique feature I find particularly charming. Its intimacy and character make it a standout stay.”

Grosvenor Villa is often described as a beautiful and characterful period property, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds, some featuring four-poster designs. understated charm, some wear

tired decor stale pastries
The decor felt a little tired. some of the furniture showed its age, and it didn't quite live up to the photos. breakfast was fine, but the pastries seemed a bit stale. We loved the pool. but the view was amazing!

decent place to stay

excellent entrance clean room chance meeting low shower dated house traditional house
the entrance to the building was excellent. our room was clean. breakfast was an experience, with the chance to meet other guests from around the world. i got good suggestions of things to do in the area.
the shower had low pressure. the house seemed a bit dated. maybe that is the idea since it was a traditional house, but i was expecting a hotel

The room felt smaller than expected. Photos online seemed misleading. also, the breakfast service felt rushed and impersonal. i noticed some wear and tear in the bathroom, like a cracked tile and some loose grout.
